Following the success of the Trainee “Buddy-up” Scheme piloted by ARCS last year, ARCS have made the decision to extend this to a formal Mentorship Scheme open to all ARCS members at all stages of their learning and development.
The aim of Mentorship Scheme is to provide both pastoral and professional support to members of the reproductive science community. ARCS are launching this scheme in January 2021 to improve networking opportunities and interconnectivity during challenging times. Members are paired with peers from a similar background and expertise to allow for sharing of information, support and professional advice for career progression and mobility.
Time spent on the mentorship scheme is also recognized by the CPD Committee. If you are interested in joining the scheme please see the website for application forms for mentors, mentees and mentorship agreement. Pertinent documents can be found on the website on the Knowledge Hub. Those interested should complete a Mentor or Mentee Application (dependent on your requirements) Form first, and send to Georgina.email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to the mentorship database, after which you will be paired with a mentor/mentee. Those who were previously enrolled on the “Buddy-Up” Scheme rolled out in 2020 should reapply if still interested in being involved in the mentorship scheme.
