It is with regret that we must announce the Fertility 2022 Conference in Liverpool will not proceed as a face to face meeting, but we are delighted to announce that it will now go ahead as an online conference.
We have reviewed government advice and data about the number of infections forecast due to the Omicron variant. It is clear to us that there are new and serious implications for the health and wellbeing of participants if the conference were to go ahead as a face to face meeting.  With work from home guidance now in place, coupled with rapidly rising cases, the committee felt that the risk was too great to justify an in-person event and that it would be irresponsible to proceed.
We know that there is a huge appetite for a face-to-face event – a desire shared by all of us on the organising committee and we are sorry to disappoint the many hundreds who have already registered. The decision has been made as quickly as we could in light of the fast changing situation.
All is not lost however! We are fortunate to be able to pivot the conference to an online event, as we did with great success in 2021.  The committee will be working hard over the next few days to put this slightly revised online programme together. Please bear with us while we work through all the logistical implications that need to be addressed.
We would like to thank all our sponsors and exhibitors who have spent so much time planning for the event.  We know they too were greatly looking forward to seeing the fertility community together again, beyond a computer screen.  However, we know how engaged our members are and feedback from 2021 tells us there will be great interaction, networking and sense of community at Fertility 2022, online.
Our team will be reaching out directly to all exhibitors and attendees with information about changing their bookings to the online event.
If you booked hotel accommodation through Reservation Highway they will be in touch directly to offer a full refund.
Please keep safe in these difficult times and we sincerely hope that the world situation will have changed sufficiently to enable us to meet up in Belfast where Fertility 2023 is planned for 12-14 January 2023.
We look forward to welcoming you online next month and to embodying the theme of the 2022 conference together!
